Artificial Turf

Low-maintenance lawn, pet, play and putting surfaces built over a stable, drainable base.

What We Build

Sub-services

Turf for the ways you use the yard

01

Turf Lawns

A green surface for front or back yards that stays green without mowing.

02

Pet Areas

Turf and base designed with drainage and cleaning in mind for dogs.

03

Play Areas

Soft, even surfaces for kids and games that are usable in wet weather.

04

Putting Greens

Turf with shaped contours and a firm, consistent base for practice.

05

Edging & Transitions

Clean borders against patios, planting beds and walkways.

Why It Matters

Artificial Turf

The base decides how the turf performs

Turf is the visible layer. What makes it flat, firm and well-drained is the excavation and compacted base underneath, plus a slope that lets water move through and away.

Low-maintenance is not no-maintenance: leaves need brushing, pet areas need rinsing and the infill may need refreshing. We explain what to expect before you decide.

What good looks like

  • Remove existing lawn and unstable soil to the planned depth.
  • Compact the base in layers and keep a slope for drainage.
  • Secure the edges so the turf cannot shift or lift.
  • Choose turf and infill for the use: pets, play or putting.

Design Options

Make it yours

Choices that change how turf looks and feels

Look

Pile Height & Color Blend

Blade shape and color blend decide whether turf looks like a lawn, a meadow or a green.

Use

Lawn, Play, Pet or Putting

Different uses call for different pile types, backing, infill and base design.

Infill

Infill Options

Infill adds weight, support and sometimes odor control. The right type depends on the use.

Edges

Border Materials

Pavers, concrete, steel or other edging create a clean finished edge.

Shape

Contours & Features

A putting green may have contours; a yard may have curves or planting islands.

Materials

Suppliers & collections

Where we look for turf materials

Turf, base material and edging come from suppliers we work with or can source through. We confirm local availability and specifications during design and estimating. Product availability, colors and pricing can change, so a saved link is a selection request, not a guarantee.

How We Build It

5 Steps

How artificial turf is installed

  1. Site Review & Layout

We look at drainage, traffic, shade, pets or play and mark the edges of the turf area.

  2. Excavate & Remove Existing Surface

We remove the existing lawn and soft soil down to the planned depth.

  3. Base Installation & Compaction

Aggregate base is placed and compacted in layers and graded to drain.

  4. Turf Layout & Seaming

Turf is rolled out, cut to fit and seamed so joints are tight and the grain direction is consistent.

  5. Edge Securing & Infill

Edges are secured, infill is spread and the surface is brushed to stand the fibers up.

What Affects the Cost

Factors, not prices

What affects the cost of artificial turf

01

Area

More area means more turf, base and edge work.

02

Existing surface & excavation

Removing existing lawn, soil or hardscape adds to the groundwork.

03

Base depth & drainage

Soil conditions and drainage needs affect the base design.

04

Turf selection

Pile, backing, color blend and use-specific features vary in cost.

05

Edges & transitions

Edging materials and the complexity of the shape influence labor.

06

Features

Putting-green contours, play-area details or pet-specific additions add scope.

Every property is different. After we assess yours, your proposal sets out the written scope, options and pricing assumptions.

FAQ

Artificial Turf

Does artificial turf drain?

A properly built turf area is installed over a base designed to drain, with a slope for water to leave. Drainage depends on the base and soil, which we review during design.

Is turf good for pets?

It can be. Pet areas need drainage and routine rinsing, and the choice of turf and infill matters. We discuss what suits your pets.

Does turf get hot?

Synthetic turf can get warm in direct sun. Shade, color choice and watering can help. We explain the trade-offs.

What maintenance does turf need?

Typically brushing, clearing leaves and debris and rinsing in pet areas. We review care at the walkthrough.

What does turf cost?

Area, groundwork, base, turf selection, edges and features all matter. You receive a written scope and pricing after the assessment.
